Raw Milk

I recently have been reading up on it, and it sounds really intresting. I'm intrested to know more about it! How much healthier is it? Is it safe to give my 18 month old? Anything and everything you can think to tell me about it please

I was raised on raw milk. My mom stopped when I was about 7 and we moved to an area where it wasn't as easy to get (we had a raw milk delivery guy... no I really am only 35). It is completely safe to give to your child. My 3 year old drinks it and has been for the last year +. It took me a while to get DH on board, but then I told him to find me a real reason (he is a scientist so he looks at things like that) on why I SHOULD NOT drink it and give it to our son and after about a week he couldn't come up with one.

You just need to know your source.

Let me know if you have any more questions. I honestly wouldn't go back unless we moved to one of the iron clad states that don't allow for it. And then I would only get low pasteurized non-homogenized milk.

Subbing - DH and I drink raw milk, but I'm not sure how soon I will give some to DS. He is only 9 months and still BF, though.

I would start raw milk at a year. That is what I plan on doing next time around.
