Reflux issues...

I don't know what to do. In Canada we only have Alimentum RTF, no powder. We use Dr. Brown's bottles and love them, although we've tried every other bottle on the market. It's reflux, through and through and I don't truly believe she has a milk allergy but the formula seemed to make it a bit better. Now it's not as good for the past 2 days. I'm increasing her meds from 7.5mg to 10mg. I'll tell the ped when we see her on Monday. I think we need to find a good combo of meds that work for her. SHe's been on this since May 17th, so we've given it time.

I would try a few more formula's. Call the company's and tell them what you are going through, how much you've spent trying and its getting tuff to buy full cans just to use a few scoops. Similac sent me a bunch of samples and formula coupons and were really nice about it. One night out of desperation, I took 6-7 different bottles with different formula combinations and lined them up and went down the row trying them all to find the winner.

Also, not all medications work for all kids. It may not be a dosage issue but a medication issue. I'd ask to try a different medication if you think you found a better formula. I'd also ask for a referral for a ped. GI. The ped's are generalists and most don't know that specific.
