Re: Evening supply drops....

It is totally natural and normal. Most babies have a higher need to suck for comfort in the evenings, and our bodies make less milk so they can get in more sucking without filling up as fast. Hang in there, it will get better. You are still in those early hard weeks. Things will settle down soon .

Dd is the same way, she's just over 8 weeks. She gets super cranky in the evening and just wants to camp out on my boob and doze. Makes for a very frustrating evening every night. I find she's worse when she's overtired. Hang in there. It gets better

Mine did this too. With 3 other kids begging for dinner, needing baths, and bed time, no husband for help (grave shift), a baby who was MAD about the lack of gushing milk, it was a nightmarish sort of hell till about 10/12 weeks.

She is almost 15wks now and that seems like it happened a lifetime ago lol.

Had i been able to push the pause button on the rest of life, it would have been so much easier (so if there is any option for you at all, just start camping out in bed with newb and the tv/phone/computer etc when it begins). I totally almost quit bfing

Thanks guys.
I've increased my water supply and I'm hoping that helps...
Also I think we are trying to repair my supply since he was tongue tied in the early weeks too

This evening seems better-- more satisfied with what's coming out at this moment.. Who knows about the rest of the night but I'll take it for now...

Good to know it does pass - eventually. Just hope it's sooner rather than later. My other kids make it impossible to camp out on the sofa and DH works tiller in the evenings. So I think that makes it all even more stressful
