Off limit foods
Are there any foods that I should stay away from while breastfeeding? I know while pregnant fish was a no go.

Re: Off limit foods
nope, unless you think your baby is having a reaction to something.

Re: Off limit foods
Every baby is different.
The general things I was told in my early nursing days were gassy foods ( broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage ect) chocolate, anything spicy. None of this held true for me. What I have found with number 3&4 was that they are sensitive to dairy soy and nuts. I wouldn't worry about it unless you have a fussy baby. My first two had what I thought was colic and could not be put down cat napped 10 minutes at a time. I think that was allergy related. If you have an issue then start eliminating things. other than that eat drink and enjoy

Dairy and soy seem to be a problem for my kids.

Re: Off limit foods
I find that it's not so much what I eat, it's how much. For example, that entire watermelon I ate over the course of two days...not good for LO's tummy. But in general most babies will be fine with any food in moderation.

Re: Off limit foods
I agree with pp. You only need to avoid foods if your lo is reacting to something you are eating. My first 2 children reacted to nothing. My youngest reacts to all forms of dairy.
