quick advice needed please

I'm 33 weeks as of yesterday and been having preterm labour since about 22 weeks. So far its been all contractions etc, but luckily only 2 visits into hospital.

For the last couple of evenings I've been having bad period pains and back ache which has gone with a tylenol and a bath.

Today I'm having bad period pains, back ache, and really really heavy pressure down below. Every time the baby moves its actually hurting what I can only say is at the top of my vagina, so that with the pressure is bad.

I'm also having an odd contraction, but not as many as I was before.

So go in for a check, or wait till my ob on monday?

If it were me of go in for a check. If you are feeling pressure that low I'd worry. Can you check your cervix?

You could go for a check, but if your cervix is changing or you are at risk for a preterm delivery, they might not want to check anything for fear of speeding it up. Relax and put your feet up. Make sure you start hydrated. And if you get really worried, head in.

You insert your finger and see if you can feel it. It's round and ball like. I'm 30 weeks and mine is still high. If you've never done it with your symptoms I wouldn't. Try hydrating and resting like the PP said an if that doesn't help go in.

Re: quick advice needed please

Try to drink 4 quarts of water per day. Dehydration is a Huge factor in preterm labor. Take it easy, can you go on modified bed rest? Just get up to prepare food, shower, and bathroom if you can. And No lifting!
