I pulled my ds out in May. Overnight, I had my joyful boy back. We are loving hs'ing, my only regret is having not done this sooner.

ITA!! He has done a 360 in 2 days. He loves to learn so that makes it easy. I asked him for his thoughts today & he said he liked having less distractions.

We had a great time at the convention. Overwhelming, but fun. My ds saw a few science curriculums that he liked and some math. Funny story, my dd 3 was with us & she saw a book @ the Rod & Staff booth at the very beginning. I told her that she could get something when we were all done so we walked the whole convention & she asked for several different things. I said at the end you can get something. At the end ds picked a book & I tried to get dd to browse. She said no mama I want the butterfly book. I'm thinking I don't remember a butterfly book. She said follow me & wouldn't you know she took my right through the whole convention center without hesitation right to the first book!'

How wonderful! I'm glad you were able to go. I hear ya on the wishing I had done this sooner. My boy is also SO much happier and doesn't mind the work once it's started. We love the freedom. Like summer everyday.
