I would not comment on FB. It is very unlikely to go well or to lead to change.

I try not to give unsolicited parenting advice, and if I were going to do so it wouldnt be on a fb post I care a lot about her and her kids, and I respect her right to make parenting choices. We have palydates several times a week (including one yesterday), but I cant offer that much more help to her aside from support and friendship.

I texted her to see if she needed help or company, and she said he is napping in the swing at her neighbors house still. I am glad she is getting a break. She still seems determined to keep up with this "training"

Re: I should just stop reading fb posts :(

I have one daycare kid who, in all honesty was so difficult and sucked the life out of everyone around. I never thought I would say "let the baby cry", until I met this little guy. To save the sanity of everyone else, we let him cry. It was hard. It never totally worked, but there was just NO way to give him enough. He wanted everything.

Now I can see a parent getting to this point, and I never judge those feelings anymore. (I judge lots of other things, not saying I'm above judgement..just that I get it now)

You run a daycare and did CIO on a child in your care? That's against regulations here in my state.

YEP!!! I can't STAND to read people's post when they talking about "training" baby to sleep and he/she had been crying for 45 minutes...and the list goes on. People who make uneducated pregnany/labor/delivery/feeding choice kill me too!!! I have unsubscribed to lots of newsfeeds or defriended people b/c I can't TAKE hearing it. My DH's 1st cousin and his wife are the worst!

And...I have a friend who is not married (or dating anyone) and has no children who wants to challenge my views. REALLY?!?!?!?

Wow that would make me really unhappy as a parent! I did home daycare for 2 years and if I agot to that point with a child I gave my notice to the family.
