Woven wraps

I have a homemade gauze cotton woven wrap that I hold my 8 week old in the kangaroo carry that seems to cut into his legs. He doesn't show distress in it, but does have red marks where they cross under his legs. Any suggestions? I don't feel comfortable with the newborn hold because I can't get it tight enough with the woven.

Are the rails spread out well and evenly? Im no woven expert, but I do have a gauze wrap and for me, they can be really finicky to use. You kind of have to get them.perfect or else the can be uncomfortable. Well, at least for me cause my wear-ee is a 24 lb 16 month old.

I find that gauze wraps often left me or baby with pressure points and were never 100% comfy for me. Some people love them but I prefer a true woven wrap. It does help to take extra care to spread all the rails out evenly.

Is this the same regardless of how lo is being held? I have a boba wrap that I adore, but it's too hot most days.
