Just need to complain...DS won't let me wash dishes. Any advice welcome!

Do the dishes together It will make it more "fun" and give you time to chat.

Also while DS naps or with him strapped on your back is what I would do. HTH

What about doing them at night but having your DH help? That way you two get the time together to talk. I realize he works long hours, but if you are getting up at the same time he is and spending the day caring for the house and child, it's not like you aren't working the same long hours.

Same here. Our house is so small and the kitchen is right next to his room.

DH will help if I ask him too sometimes but otherwise he wants his time to wind down and check out craigslist for a new family vehicle for us or he works in the garden until dark.
