I voted yes, no restrictions, but Barbie hasn't made it our way yet. Currently, we are a My Little Pony and Mickey Mouse household.

We do, but not Bratz. I don't know what Monster High is, and I haven't looked at Bratz since I've had kids, but iirc they all looked like they were about to go clubbin, back then.

I actually wish my daughter would PLAY with them. Instead she tangles their hair & strips their clothes
Eta- the nakedness isn't what bothers me, it's losing part of what we paid for. I'm cheap

We allow them. The girls know the barbies can't have lots of make up on (aka - no bratz). I try to do less revealing clothes but that isn't huge because I can always buy/make clothes for barbies and make the revealing stuff disappear after awhile.

I buy barbies used, and most of them are naked. I like to think I have more influence on my daughter than a plastic toy, so I'm not bothered by them.

Re: Do you let your girls play with Barbie dolls?

Barbies are okay. The dolls spend most of the time naked so revealing clothing isn't an issue I made it very clear to my in-laws that Bratz dolls are banned toys though. It's great that they play up the different ethnicities of the dolls (my nieces are 1/2 Puerto Rican), but I HATE their hooker outfits. Hopefully Monster High will die a natural death before too long and I can skip those. The clothes don't bother me, but the characters are just bizarre.
