Has anyone tried a Moby or other stretchy WCRS?

I use a Moby. I liked it for the first few months but my little man is super strong and it's not supportive enough for long term wearing, also gets a bit warm . I'd look for a lighter weight wrap. I'm new to all this so I couldn't recommend one.

I bought my own fabric and made a knock-off Moby (ended up being $7-ish) and my son loved it. I loved it, too! I distinctly remember carrying him around for 3+ hours at the county fair (early Aug, upper 80's) when he was 7 months old and my back never hurt once. He never cried, either. He was a big baby...I can't remember exactly, but 16+ lbs at 7 mos.

Mostly just looked around and then slept when he wanted to. I'll be using the same type of wrap with this next baby as well.

I love a stretchy wrap for newby newborns!!! Mobys are great and so is the Boba (used to be sleepy wrap), which I do like better. They are generally weighted to 35lbs but so many mamas do not feel them as comfy that log and thu really aren't supportive enough for a baby over 20lbs. By they are super awesome for sweet snugglie of a brand new baby for the first few months!

With DS1, my sister made me a knock off out of Jersey knit. I loved it. It breathed really well, but had a lot of stretch, so when he got bigger, he was too heavy. I used it for DS2 from birth and it was awesome until he gained weight. With DS3, I bought a real Moby, plus had my other one. I liked the real one for the brand new stage because it just felt more secure, but since he was born mid-May, I was reaching for the other one very soon because of the heat.

Are you asking about a stretchy wrap conversion ring sling? If so I wouldn't recommend it. I don't think it would keep its shape very well so you would be constantly adjusting it.

I also used a Moby when my daughter was a newborn and a smaller baby. But she grew pretty quickly so the Moby didn't last us as long as I was hoping it would. We invested in an Ergo and love it so much more now that she's bigger!! But for a small/petite/little baby, the Moby was fantastic.
