Re: Depression worst right before nursing
My son is 16 mos and my PPD still isn't gone. I deal with it one day at a time. I have had the feelings of not wanting to nurse, especially if I'm tired. All I can say is to hold on. I used to tell myself in the worst days "I can quit any time I want to. I will nurse this time, and then make my mind up later" and I always chose to continue. I am so glad I did. I am still nursing.
I also used to get very irritable when I first started nursing. The hormones increased my anxiety. This eventually got better. Hope you feel better soon and that you have lots of support. You can do it! |

Re: Depression worst right before nursing
Sometimes I get super *****y right before a let down. My OB said it was pretty normal...If you get depressed it might just be the hormone switch. Are you only depressed right before feeding him?
