Weaning Bedtime Feedings ?
I'm in the process of weaning my 15 mo. This week we dropped one of the day feedings. Things are going fairly well, but I'm wondering about her bedtime feeding. Do you offer milk in a sippy instead? Nothing? For dd bedtime routine we take a bath, put on night dipe, nurse, read stories, nurse again, lullaby and then bed. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

We just started doing this. I have eliminated naps by walking around and rocking. If I sit in the rocker(where I usually nurse) he won't have it and cries. Eventually he settles himself. I just rub his back and say sweet things. I usually do bath then yogurt then books then rock for bedtime... Tonight will be the first bedtime with no nursing... I think the rest of he feedings are going to go now because I can't nurse sometimes and him be ok with that. I hope he will forget about it if we just give up the last three all at once...

Re: Weaning Bedtime Feedings ?
I did the Dr. Jay Gordon's sleep training method at 15 months.
If he asked to nurse, I offered him water instead. It pissed him off for a few nights but he got over it and was totally night weaned in 8 days.

Thanks ladies. Tonight was her first night with no mommy milk
and I'm pretty sure I cried more than she did. I had daddy put her to bed and he tried to offer her a sippy with milk. She only cried a few minutes. I'm just worried about tomorrow when daddy's working.

Re: Weaning Bedtime Feedings ?
I have a 20 month old...I'm hearing sippy cup and an option. I offer a bottle but then look at myself and think, "he's not a baby anymore Heather"...so sippy cup works? I guess maybe I should try that from now on. We don't have any sippy cups because we taught P to use a cup from 6 months so I never bought any sippy cups. I guess I could just offer him a cup... I need to do something!!!
