Obviously I am responsible for the health of my child.
but, I do feel strongly that communities need to work together to keep children and the masses as healthy as possible.
Yep. I won't answer the poll because it doesn't have an option suited to my perspective.

Re: Childhood Vaccinations and the Health of your Child

I love the responses! I hear what you all are saying about only being able to pick one choice... But this is why I didn't opt for a multi-choice option:

Because nobody ever says, "My kid caught your kid's cold, because I fed him macaroni and chicken nuggets lats noght with ice cream, and his immune system was suppressed". Instead, it's "Your kid got my kid sick".

Nobody sues a drug company while explaining, "I could have used nutrition and exercise to manage my diabetes/heart condition/high blood pressure/cholesterol/ADHD/etc. But instead I took X drug and it caused harm".

Nobody says, "I choose to keep my children's immune systems strong and functioning at their peak, using antibiotics sparingly, because there is no guarantee in life and viruses are rampant." Instead we hear, "Your unvaccinated child puts my child at risk."

So many people seem to not take personal responsibility for much any more, and instead resort to finger-pointing and lawsuits. I am happy to hear that most of you recognize the personal responsibility we have for our children, first and last, and above all others. I so wish more people would recognize that.

I think I read the question wrong. I thought it was asking who is responsible for the kids in your neighborhood.

I am responsible, but dependent upon the health and integrity of my community and the knowledge and support of my doctor. Nothing exists in a vacuum.

Also, it should be diet/lifestyle AND/OR drugs/vaccines, not just one or the other.
