Re: ECing w/foreskin
Not sure what you are asking, how would it be any different?
I have only done EC with one baby and he is intact. |

Re: ECing w/foreskin
I've heard that intact boys have better aim.

I don't think it should be any different than any other baby. My favorite method of ecing on a toilette is by sitting behind my baby, and making a small seat opening for their bottom, easy!

I EC and DS is intact, but he sits on the potty so it's kind of irrelevant.

My little guy, well he's turning one on Friday, and is not so little anymore
, is intact and it's never been an issue for us. He peed to the right for the longest time, so we had to aim him far left! It wasn't a problem though. We just had to pay close attention especially at night when we didn't want to turn lights on Now that he's going on the potty we just point it down so he will eventually do the same for himself.

Re: ECing w/foreskin
If you're in a situation where you need to point it down (like early infancy, I usually had to stick a finger there to help aim), then just be aware of the "tension" you're applying, b/c you don't want to have tension on the skin so that it re-aims the opening somewhere you don't want to aim.

Re: ECing w/foreskin
ECing with a foreskin is WORLDS easier than without (such is the opinion of me, a mom of 2 intact boys who has never ECed a child without their full anatomy)... BECAUSE..... The foreskin actually balloons a bit before they pee, so you have a second more of advanced warning!
Poor mamas of circed boys must have sooo many more messes to clean up ![]() One more reason not to circ!

Re: ECing w/foreskin
My son's foreskin does not balloon, and where the urine squirts is entirely dependent on which way his foreskin is folded up. I just take notice of where the opening is, which way the foreskin is smooshed, and attempt to aim. He almost always squirts to the right, so I just turn him a little more left. DS2 is 2.5months old and we still are holding him over the sink. We've had our fare share of spraying the counter top, the mirror, etc. ECing with my older, circed boy was much more predictable and so much less messy.
