Re: Pain when leaning over?
I asked my lactation consultant about this, because I was also experiencing some sharp pains on one side only. She suggested that my lo wasn't completely emptying that breast and to pump for 10 minutes after to see if that would reduce pain. I've been doing it for 3 days now, I'm getting anywhere between .5 oz and a whole oz after and the pain hasn't been back.. Maybe you could try this?

Re: Pain when leaning over?
I know this thread was a long time ago but I was just looking for a thread and came across this one and wanted to update in case it can help anyone...it turned out to be a plugged duct. The next day it felt like a bruise all along that side and the following morning I had chills and body aches. I followed all the advice on Kellymom about plugged ducts and it resolved itself by the following day, didn't turn into mastitis but I think it was close. So if anyone starts having this it might be a warning sign for a plugged duct so you can start following the protocol for that!

Yeah, I've had that happen to me since this thread was started. If you get the fever and chills, I think it's an infection. Mine also resolved with TLC.
