Ergo or Boba??
I am trying to decide between the two. We had a Boba 2G (I think? It recommended 15-45lbs) and loved it but it was stolen out of our car about a month ago
![]() I am currently using a Beco Butterfly that a friend loaned us, but I don't love it and have a hard time doing a back carry with my 15 month old DD with it. So we are looking to replace the Boba. Would you go with the new 3G (I love that it can be used with tiny babies now!) or an Ergo? What are the differences, pros, cons of each one? Thanks for any help!

I have an Ergo and love it, it's honestly been the best item of baby gear we bought. I use it daily. It is not as tall which has been good, as my baby is super petite.
However I've also heard people rave about the Boba 3G and to be honest if I was in the market for a new SSC I'd probably get one, because I like that it has a very wide waist strap, meaning from top to bottom. I think for back carries that would be more comfortable, it wouldn't dig in. think they have some cute colors too. So while I think both are great carriers and you really can't go wrong with with either one, I'd probably lean towards the Boba just because it would be new to me

I have an Ergo and I just bought a Boba G3. The biggest reason was that I will be able to use it on a smaller babe without an extra accessory. I tried it out with my 19-mo-old and it feels lighter than the Ergo. I like the removable hood, higher back for DD and the prints are adorable.

I have an organic ergo, a beco Gemini, and a boba.
I like them all The boba is night because it's lighter weight. **I do know how to spell...my iPod on the other hand does not**

Re: Ergo or Boba??
I'd get a Boba 3G, because of the higher seat/panel. With a 15mo old, you are likely to need the extra height. Plus, if you loved the 2G you are probably really going to LOVE the 3G, they added some really nice little things to it!

Re: Ergo or Boba??
at 15m I would go with the boba- the higher back panel is great for holding in squirmy toddlers
Lower panels tend to bother my back if baby gets wiggley

Boba!!!
I am NOT a SSC kind of girl, but I needed something for easy back carries in public. I'm scared to back wrap in public until I can tell her to hold on and know she will. I borrowed a friend's Ergo and it was really comfy, but felt a little short. Dd, who is only 9m, was leaning backward to look around. So, I bought a Boba 3G because it has the taller shell. I LOVE it. The straps that hold your purse on are priceless. Seriously, best feature ever. It's really comfy, too, and dd likes it. She has lots of growing room in it. I have a Beco 4th gen with my oldest and I really hated it because it pushed my pants down. The Boba doesn't do that.

Re: Ergo or Boba??
I'm deciding between the two, also. My LO is 10 weeks and 11.9 lbs. Would she fit in the Boba without an insert?
