Here is my "empty sac"!!!!!

Healthy and measuring a week later then the first u/s showing just the empty sac. Strong heartbeat going at 170.
Its been a very long hard 6 weeks, but totally worth the wait to see that sweet little bean bouncing away in there!

After a few weeks of phone calls from the midwife's office, my husband called and kindly asked them to stop calling and STOP referring to our baby (we've been praying and believing) as a miscarriage.
They quickly changed their tone and then wanted me to come right in for another u/s. We were in the middle of an unexpected move and I was not mentally ready to go back to "see" yet. I finally woke up yesterday and decided it was the day. All our children were in the room and it was so exciting to see the reactions on all their little faces. I cried the whole time.

What a beautiful bean! I hate when medical professionals are so insensitive and "pushy" with their thoughts. Good for your DH sticking up for you (and your bean)!

What did the midwives say when they saw that beautiful bouncing baby on the screen?

I'm so glad your bean is in there healthy and good strong heartbeat! Your midwifes group sou.ds like a bunch of insensitive witches.

I actually have not gone back or talked with them. I just called and talked with the "office staff" to get a referral to the ultrasound place. The midwife's office hasn't even called me yet. Pretty sure I'm not going back there anyways. Still trying to get DH to go along with that. He likes having the "just in case" availability to still be with that group and still go to the hospital if needed. If we go with any other midwife, that would not be a possibility.

We are a 'ing, 'ing, EBF'ing, NONVaccing, Boys "Intact", No Flouride Using, Homeschooling and Home Churching, JESUS LOVING Family.
