Question Got a good deal on PUL and Wool. Making breast pads...Q's!

Hey Mama's! I posted on craft chat but don't seem to be getting much response so I though maybe here would be best.

I got some PUL scraps and some wool coming to me that I found cheap on another site and I would like to make some breast pads for when we have baby #2. I want to make a few with a PUL backing and a few with wool. I am wondering what you all like up against your skin and what the best thing for absorbancy is for in the middle? Should I use hemp or bamboo in the middle? For the outer layer that would lay against the skin, I am looking at jersey, cotton, velour, flannel, suede-cloth...I want something that will keep me dry, feel soft and not stick to me. What do you all like best? TIA!!
