I'm sorry but you assumed something you never should have. She is well within rules AND expectations to ship on Monday. While it would be nice for her to let you know that she was on vacation and wouldn't ship until Monday she doesn't have to. |

I will go against the popular opinion in this thread. I think the seller took way too long to ship, even if she is still within ds guidelines. When postal holidays fall in the middle of a week it throws things off, and I can absolutely get that she got busy and went out of town, etc. I am not saying she's a bad seller or even worthy of neutral feedback.
But, no, I don't think asking for a refund at this point is rude. When the 5 days includes a Federal holiday and Sunday, and it turns in 7/8 days, it just feels way too long to wait for someone to ship. I get that. I think in these cases, where it is going to be am actual week before the item even ships, it is the sellers responsibility to communicate with the buyer. I feel that reassuring the buyer is part of my "job" as a seller, in order to protect my own feedback. It's super easy to send a pm letting someone know which day you are going to be shipping. I am not saying its mandatory or required, but as a seller, it just makes sense. No seller wants an anxious buyer - its not good for the feedback profile. When a buyer is told which day the item will be shipped they stop worrying about it.

Unless you said something like, "Hey. Lady. You're slow. Refund me NAO!" I wouldn't see it as rude. Seems to just be a misunderstanding with times frames.
Always make sure if you need something by a certain date, or ASAP in general, to ask if the seller can accommodate ![]() Personally, I would've dropped it at the PO before leaving (in case I had unforseen delays returning from vacation), or not accepted payment until I got back unless I told the seller I was currently on vacation and they didn't have issue. But, that's just personal preference for me. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using DS Forum

Also, can someone link to the rules that say 5 business days? I don't recall it saying business days and of course, can't find it now. Thanks!

I traded something last week and shipped on the second day. I PMed the other mama and let her know I didn't make it to the PO right away because I felt bad. So, while I think that's a good policy to have, I also don't think I should be considered a bad seller if I hadn't done that. Doing it makes me an extra good seller. Most of us here are just moms. We aren't running businesses. I think we need to cut each other a little slack. |
