Re: If someone said to you, "i sure hope you never dial for ems
I commented before reading the update.
I don't agree with taking it all the way to her boss. I just find the other woman's "threat" more out of line than the OPs.

Re: If someone said to you, "i sure hope you never dial for ems
the responses are coming much faster than I can quote/reply but I'll do my best.
I have an issue with the post saying that I should be worried about the response from other responders at the fire house. That is the same mentality that keeps women from reporting rapes, abuse, harassment, etc. when it is coming from an official like a cop. Public servants are held to the same standard as everyone else where I am concerned. If a cop threatened me with his job I would report it to his supervisor. The issue is not what will be done with it, but the fact that you don't let people get away with things like that. Anyway, as far as being a "joke" I think that this thread has shown I can handle being the butt of people's jokes. ![]() to the part about me not being afraid of her. that is true. I am not afraid of HER. I am afraid of what could happen the next time I needed an EMT. This would be true whether I reported it or not, but I *will* feel better having it on record in some capacity that this was said- perhaps it will be a deterrent of further inappropriate behavior in a professional capacity. If I ever do have to ride in an ambulance she is in I will personally feel much better about the fact that she is less likely to follow through when it is already on record that she has made such a threat. I don't really know what to say to the posts about not believing that I feel the way I do. It is strange to me that anyone would say, "no you don't really feel that way." I don't know what to say back? "Uhm, yes I do." obviously you are looking for some evidence that those are my actual feelings but I wouldn't even know where to start with that one.

Re: If someone said to you, "i sure hope you never dial for ems
IMO...
yes, this is a dumb internet fight BUT...the EMT chick has no business implying she wouldn't treat you. PERIOD! She is playing 'God' in that circumstance and a person who throws that around has no business in that field. NONE! If it were me I would go to her boss tomorrow, without a doubt. What a totally sick thing to imply...just SICK! I really don't care who started it or what was said. She could have said 'Im going to kick your butt when I see you' but you don't imply to not help when you are in that profession. JUST WRONG. That is not about the internet...that is real life. sick!

Bottom line my feeling is that you're doing this out of spite not fear or any other reason. You want to win the fight.

Wow. Just wow. She was much nicer to you than you deserved based on your comment. I hope her boss can show just how irrational this whole thing is.

Re: If someone said to you, "i sure hope you never dial for ems
Amie, I strongly council you to think again before you go to this meeting.
I can see where the other women who had issues with her might be egging you on to deal with her once and for all. You should all go to the head of this B/S/T group and get her banned from the group for sure, but going to her workplace isn't really warranted. And I really hope that if you do go to the meeting, that her supervisor isn't a sexist male, because this stupid argument would just be a step back for everybody.
