I was 10 and did fine. Contacts aren't that difficult IMHO.

My Mood:
I was ten, I believe. 10 or 11. I had worn glasses for several years and I was very responsible.and careful with them. I played a lot of sports and after a bad accident in bball that left me with a bad scar because of my glasses, I got contacts and have been wearing them ever since. I never had problems with caring for them or losing or tearing them. Probably depends on the kid.

I love love love my night and day lenses. I have been wearing them for 10 years now and I don't think I'll ever switch to another kind. Although I plan to have Lasik done in the future so that I can wear none!
I wear mine for 2-3 months at a time without ever taking them out!
