Honestly I don't really pay attention to the "don't eat this" rules American society tries to inflict on pregnant women. I eat sushi (just like many Asian women), soft cheeses (french women especially), deli meats without cooking---I read a book called the panic free pregnancy and it made me feel so much better. Basically almost anything they say you can't eat is only because YOU could get sick, which is true regardless of whether you're pregnant or not. The very few things that have the one in a million odds of actually harming your baby is just that-one in a million. I know I'll probably get slammed for saying this but it's how it is.
