Q for cloth wipe users
I have some leftover flannel material and I was going to make a bunch of cloth wipes to use with my new diapers. I have never used cloth wipes/diapers, so I was wondering before I made the wipes, for those who use cloth wipes, do you prefer wipes that are 1 layer, or 2 layers thick? I figured the 2-ply might be nice and sturdy and not stick to the diaper inserts in the dryer, but the 1-ply might be better for getting in all the nooks and crannies when cleaning up my daughter's bum. Any input, cloth wipe users?

I like the one-ply for getting the nooks and crannies.

My single ply flannel wipes are my favorites.

I like my 1- and 2-ply wipes. My only preference is not having to fold, so small is better.

Re: Q for cloth wipe users
I think I will make them just 1-ply, it seems like it would be easier to get her fully clean with thinner ones. Thanks for giving me your opinions, everyone!

Re: Q for cloth wipe users
I like the 1-ply for younger EBF babies and the 2 ply for chunkier poop.

Re: Q for cloth wipe users
I'm a big fan of 1ply. I never fold my wipes... just stuff them in a basket. Just FYI.

Re: Q for cloth wipe users
Single-ply, 8x8 squares are perfect, IMO. And no folding here, either. There's a small basket on the changing table that wipes are just tossed into when I'm folding diapers.

Re: Q for cloth wipe users
I liked single ply for a newbie. Now that DD is 1... I love my 2 ply. Some are flannel/ flannel and some are flannel/ cotton woven. Mine are all T&T either 8x8 (fold in 1/2 to fit in wipes container) or 4x8.

Re: Q for cloth wipe users
I like both. I use both on a regular basis and the cheap cloth wash clothes. I have bought some "nicer" wipes with like terry cloth on one side or minky and I actually do not like these as wipes b/c they are too thick. I use these as our wash clothes for baths and wiping up faces after meals. I hope that this helps.
