My son was the same exact way!! At this age every morning be would wake up trying to Fart for like an hour! I guess this is all how they are

My daughter farts ALL the time!at first I thought us was a reaction to the dairy I ate, so I quite most dairy and no change. She doesn't get mad or fussy but man she can let them rip! She will make some man very happy some day.

I wouldn't wake a baby to burp unless they had issues with painful gas/spitting up. I think having to work to release gas is normal at that age and it probably has nothing to do with him getting burped our not.
