seller sent wrong item UPDATED :)

she told me to keep the ones she sent by mistake, and she'd send out the new ones when she got home from vacation on saturday.


i very nicely pm'd her to tell her, and told her how much it would cost me to ship it back, and said if she'd refund me that amount i'd send it on to her and she could send me the right thing. she read my pm, but hasnt responded. she did post on another thread of her other things "bump before i leave on vacation", which was posted on 7/11, but i did see her online today. (maybe from a phone? idk)


so what do i do? i cant use what she sent, not for at least a few years, i need the item i paid for. honest mistake i suppose, but she hasnt responded to my pm...

While it's ideal for her to correct this by paying your shipping, she isn't required to by PayPal. If you end up having to file a claim, you have to pay return shipping even though she made that error. It totally blows and I think is one situation that needs different rules for that, but that's what it is.

How long has it been since you paid her? You have 45 days to file a claim, so you can decide where to go with some time.

I would contact a mod and see if they can get a hold of her. I would also try emailing her PayPal address and see if she responded that way.

I hope she does right by you and covers shipping for her mistake.

Maybe she is trying to contact the other person(I'm presuming packages got mixed up?) about you guys mailing to each other. Not sure if that is even allowed. Or maybe didn't have enough time to properly deal with this and wants to wait until she can figure it out properly?

When I'm mailing out many packages for ebay I worry about this. I don't seal the polymailer until I print the shipping, just in case. One day I was in a hurry and luckily the mail man caught it as the weight was way off. Now I'm super careful.

i paid her on 7\11. got the package today and about an hour after i opened it i pm'd her. thought i lost my mind there for a min when i saw 4t LOL.

i think i will give her 24 hours to respond to my pm before i contact a mod.

based on the thread where she has this item listed, nobodys asked about it, and in the pm i linked to her the ones she sent me, and the ones i wanted. hopefully nobody gets a craving for 4t carters jammies. LOL

yeah i put post its on the polymailers till i am going to ship with the names on, and costs and items, and i double check before it goes out too.

she might have been walking out the door or something, idk. she only mentioned on a few listings, when she bumped, that she was going on vacation, and didnt say when or anything.

Do you know when she is back from vacation?

Inspired to do the eclairs now! I have made them a few times, I know the choux pastry is so easy to do too. My family and I used to always get this "coffee ring" years back which is a big choux pastry ring, cut in half, cream in the middle with coffee icing on top! Like a big cake, so good!

Ah, good, happy that worked out. I think at some point we all make a mistake, it's the putting it right part that is most important.

Coffee ring would just be the same choux pastry, piped larger in a ring(on parchment/baking paper), baked, sliced in half horizontally, then filled with cream(yum yum!!). Topped with coffee icing - it's more of icing/glaze not frosting. So I think it was coffee granules/instant mixed with hot/boiled water and then the confectionary sugar.

I'm crazy about anything coffee flavored!!
