Sudden, sad realization
I have been obsessing over cloth diapers for 8 years, ever since my husband and I started TTCing our first. But our "baby" is near potty training and we are unable to have any more, and I suddenly realize just how much I am going to miss my fluff.
I really want to continue to be involved in some way in helping other parents cloth diaper their babies--NOT converting committed disposable users, but helping educate people who are interested in cloth and just need more information and advice. I started a web site a while back, but it's already out of date, and without a baby to try new things on, I can't really update it very well. I may just go back to using pinned prefolds all the time when I am home, just because it's my last chance.

Re: Sudden, sad realization
I think I understand a bit. We are hoping for another child but don't really expect it to happen. It took us 8 years to get our youngest. I think because I know he will very likely be our last all the fluffy diapers mean more to me than they would if I totally expected we would be able to have as many children as we wanted to have.

Re: Sudden, sad realization
I would think you would be a great source for parents in need of more info.

Hugs, mama. I know I will feel the same way when my diapering days are nearing an end.

Re: Sudden, sad realization
You could become a member of the Real Diaper Association and start hosting meetings
I love going to our monthly meeting and you would get tons of opportunites to see the new diapers and learn from others how they are working/fitting etc.

Re: Sudden, sad realization
I agree about the classes, when I was starting out I didn't know anything and had to ask on DS (LOVELY LADIES). Have you thought about fostering? respite care?
I cannot image life without fluffy butts in the house and if I can't cloth diaper my babies, I SHALL cloth diaper other people's babies! *if they let me of course*
