Re: where are my 'britax snobs?' (tilt question :)
We have Britax Boulevards and they have 3 reclining positions. I would assume the Advocate does also. There is one that is waaaay reclining (newborn) then a mid one (that is what we use for RF our 2 year old and 8 month old) and then the straight up for forward facing. It is tricky to find that middle recline position sometimes though, but just play with it and slide it slowly to find it! Good luck! I had such a hard time with the install on these but after calling Honda, calling Britax, and getting them checked by a CPST, I know they are in correctly now!

Oh, yeah, it MUST be in the recline position all the time for rearfacing. That needs to be fixed ASAP. You can adjust the recline in other ways once installed.

Sloped, like the angle of your car's seat makes more of an acute angle than a right angle. I have 2 Blvds (the older 65lb models). They have to be in the reclined setting when RFing. In my car it looks fine without doing anything special to the recline. In my mom's Trailblazer, where the seats are more sloped, it's yo upright unless I push down on the back of the seat, like a PP said.

The model the OP has, has only one recline position. You just pull the handle and it reclines.

Re: where are my 'britax snobs?' (tilt question :)
There doesn't have to be a change between the infant installation for RF and the toddler installation RF. However, the infant MUST be at 45 degrees, while the toddler can be more upright, as high as 30 degrees from vertical. Regardless of the angle you achieve for your child (between 30 and 45 degrees, as outlined by Britax's manual), you MUST have the seat in the "reclined" position when installed RF...it doesn't matter how old the child is. Once the seat is locked in the reclined position you can install it at the angle you need - between 30 and 45 degrees from VERTICAL.

Re: where are my 'britax snobs?' (tilt question :)
I have our boulevard reclined w/ a towel (my T&C has very sloped seats) and my 13mo sits comfortably in it. It was more reclined in our Tahoe, as the seats are more level.

PS This is the source of the negative stereotype a lot of people have about "britax snobs". We buy the cushiest, most expensive carseats to keep our kids as safe as possible, but they arent as safe as they can be if we dont understand how to install and use them properly.
