Pork Lion

I have some Pork lion in the freezer and I am not sure how to cook it or what to do with it. What would you do? Thanks

Re: Pork Lion

I had to chuckle. Pork LION. Ive never had pork lion but the way I cook pork loin is by chopping it into slices and seasoning with my fave seasoning and putting it in an oiled skillet. Yumm

For pork loin, I usually let it marinate, then put out in the oven with foil tented over the pan.

Our summer favorite is grilled peach pork. SOOO good!

I use this recipe loosely...we've also spread the mixture on the pork then triple wrapped in foil to keep it moist while grilling. SOOOO good!

Re: Pork Lion

tehehe pork lion

i made a pork loin last week in the crockpot. i seared all sides of it in a hot pan w/ some bacon grease (or use oil, butter, etc) first and then put it in the crockpot on low for like 7 or 8 hours I think (it weighed 1.25 pounds). Put it in with some broth and your favorite herbs, and some onion, or add some bbq sauce and make pulled pork! :P

Re: Pork Lion

An easy way that I make it is to cut into chunks and put it in a bowl. I put a few tablespoons of olive oil on it, some reg. Mrs. Dash and a sprinkle of cajun seasoning. I let it sit for a few minutes. Then put it into a hot skillet and stir around after a few minutes so that all sides are browned nicely. It will be fully cooked in about 8 minutes. It is so good and juicy. Yum. They were sampling the pork loin once at Costco and I asked how it was seasoned. Now I make it about once a month. It is so much easier for me than doing chops because I don't dry it out.
