I don't know your situation, but some of my family members have had HUGE successes with the "Dukan" diet. It's a little limiting at first, but at least 3 of my family members have dropped LOTS of weight with it. I know my sister dropped almost 50 lbs in 4 months, and has maintained by following the maintenance plan for nearly a year. She weighs less than she has in 35 years (shes almost 60). A niece has dropped 35 in a few months. Another niece has dropped a good bit as has her husband.

It limits carbs and sugar, so I think you could probably modify it nicely if you're diabetic.

I've been feeling really overwhelmed lately. I'm getting frustrated and angry about stupid stuff. I'm hoping it passes soon. I mentioned to hubby that I wondered if it wasn't ppd. He dismissed it since I haven't had it before. Can that happen? I've really not been myself lately.

He did! Dh went and had dinner with him last night (family night) and he didn't want l come home! What a stinker!

I don't know how late ppd can set in. I honestly dont know much about it. Maybe your just going through a period of trial? I find that there are times when life is just good. The kids are in a good place, we're busy but not overly. Then there are times (ahem, summer....) when life is nuts and I feel overwhelmed every day. It does make me feel like I'm in a funk and I have try VERY hard to not give up every day. Have you talked to a dr about it?

I was really down and moody and exhausted all the time. I never left the house bc it was to hot and all of this put me in a major rut. Dh made me start moving again--walks and yoga. He has also made it a point to make sure wee get away on weekends (day trips) Honestly this has work so much and I feel so much better.

It is what Britt said sometimes things are great and sometimes not so much. I for myself have too make sure I don't get to down and I know the things that help--nutrition, exercise, and some sunlight.

sorry Amy, I too have had those times of bad mood, anger, tiredness. a few times sine Micah was born. To help I try to focus on the positives on a daily basis, go out and help someone, write a friend a kind note etc, try a new hobby, recipe, deep clean something, HAHA...

Thanks ladies! I really appreciate all of your advice. I took the kids hiking this morning. And went out with a friend this evening for a couple hours. I do feel a lit better so far.

Right there with you amy. I think it will lessen for me when school starts, and we get into a routine. We've been busy so far this summer with all kinds of house related stuff, but doesn't really seem like I get anything I want done. lol But today I did!! I did a little sewing and put together my pallet bench seat cushions and it's all done! Yay! I can mark it off my to do list! I still want to make some outside art to hang above it, but otherwise I think it looks pretty good. I will link pics




didn't cost me much to do either. yay for thrifty! lol So we are getting ready to start kindy here mid aug. Lauren will be 2x's/wk for 2.5 hrs. I am really hoping to get sewing! I need to make some money soon.

Oh and we have a swarm of beeee's in our garden! hoping a bee keeper guy will come get them tomorrow. For now I am going to watch Drop Dead Diva and go to bed!
