yikes!
I put the 8 month old in his crib so that I could go to the bathroom. The 33 month old climbed in and started jumping in the crib
. I heard him in the baby's room and thought he was just playing next to the crib. My oldest still sleeps in his own crib and has never climbed in or out of it . I guess I will have to take them both to the bathroom with me next time.

Re: yikes!
My kids think that the crib is a trampoline too. I have been considering switching to a latex mattress that isn't as bouncy but I probably won't since he won't be in the crib much longer.

My 13mo loves to jump on his mattress in the morning when he wakes up. He can't fly out, so I don't mind it actually. He likes jumping around in general.

Re: yikes!
My dd stands up and jumps in it too. She hasn't figured out how to climb out and I happy about that.

Re: yikes!
BTDT-- maybe just take the older one with you.
DH woke up one morning (he does morning duty as I leave for work at 6am) to the boys chattering in DS2 room. he didn't think much of it since no one was screaming/cyring. Gets up, goes to the bathroom, walks into DS2 room to find that DS1 had gone to the kitchen, got a fudge pop cycle (thanks grandma) from the freezer and was sharing it with DS2 through the slats in the crib.

soo funny!!!!! ![]() the rest of the morning has consisted of ds1 hanging on kitchen drawers and the bar to the oven door. He rarely does any of this. I have no idea what has gotten into him.

Re: yikes!
ugh i hear ya. we have this adorable cradle that dh made for ds when he was a baby. thought nothing of it's potential safety hazards with him, it had a lock to keep it from rocking when the baby was sleeping, and it was totally fine. now we've been using it for the new baby, and ds has been trying to CLIMB THE SIDE! AAAHHHH! i walked in one day to find him hanging half inside it going "hi baby!" with the cradle tilted dangerously to one side, and dd squished up against the rails screaming her head off. the lock is broken now. dh is going to fix it and make it stronger, but i'm frankly terrified to put her in there anymore. we try to keep an eye on ds, but seriously, all it takes is a second. that whole incident could have been really bad! i know he just wanted to give her a kiss, but his affection is dangerous

Re: yikes!
yeah his year of two has been really good. The closer we get to 3 the harder he becomes. He is usually a on the go child but has never been a climber or one to get into things. Tends to tow the line etc. However, I see his will and imagination kicking in and I am sure he is going to give me a run for my money.
