There is a thread about this in dec or jan due date discussions right now with a gal that had only an "empty sac" at six weeks and now is 15/16 weeks along. Sounds pretty similar to your story. Apparently, it can be very common not to see a baby/heartbeat in early scans, then to measure really small for dates and then to catch up later on down the Hope it all works out the same for you.
