Right size?

I am unsure if I have the right size breast shield for my pump. At first I thought it was too small but after reading some stuff on getting the right fit I think it may be too big. Im confused! After pumping for a little bit my nipple gets HUGE, part of it is rubbing against the round tube part.. but I think it may be more of the areola thats rubbing. May sound silly, but it seems hard to tell bc it sucks my nipple into this monsterous size. My nipples turn white and deep purple after pumping and also are continuosly cracked, no matter what i do/put on them. I feel silly for not being able to figure it out after reading directions on how to find the right size, but im still a little unsure.

I would recommend pumpin pals. They come with three sizes and in my opinion are much more comfortable than the medela shields.

Re: Right size?

Thanks, I guess I'll have to buy those online? I've searched and can't seem to find them in a store anywhere

Yes, I think they're only online. They shipped really quick.
