Wool over a disposable?

I have a friend who is not interested in doing cloth full time but is getting leaks at night. She asked me about doing cloth at night only and, I'll be honest, I told her that might not work well. I know it takes some people a lot of work to find a system for a super soaker and washing would be tricky if you only have one diaper a day.

So, she is still dealing with leaks from sposies at night and I wondered if she could just buy a few shorties or longs and use those over sposies. What do you think? Suggestions?

What about a couple fleece covers for overnight, she could just throw them in the wash with the rest of the clothes I would think with no problems.

Re: Wool over a disposable?

We do it all the time w/ DD. We went to disposables at night around 13 or 14 mos (so, well over a year ago) & we go through periods, usually around teething or growth spurts, where she just FLOODS diapers. We have good luck w/ wool interlock soakers over the sposies, but if your friend isn't doing cloth otherwise, I'd tell her to save the money for interlock & get a couple good-quality pieces of fleece, which I find works just as well as wool as a nighttime leak-guard.

Re: Wool over a disposable?

I did mention fleece to her but I don't have any experience with it and didn't know if it was as good of an overnight solution. I will tell her that she could try that first! Where should I direct her to buy?

I second this. It's actually what we do.

I got some off etsy, emotibums and wild child for babies and then two sellers on face book, sassy green creations and wahmie panties(haven't gotten these yet). The three I have gotten have all have worked well for me and I'd recommend any of them.
