Maximizing freezer space

I have a really small freezer and need to maximize my space. I'm thinking I may need various sized square containers but I haven't found any.

What are some of the ways you guys organize your freezers? What kind of storage containers do you use? How do you know how high to fill containers so they don't over expand?

I am looking for the best ways to freeze liquids, like sauces, soups, and baby food, as well as things like beans, rice, quinoa, and homemade meals and veggie burgers.
