Has anyone adopted an older child?

We have not yet adopted out of birth order, but we have had foster placements that were older than ODD. Two of her bio sisters were with us for a while last year. Although they *are* her sisters, she had not lived with them since she was six months old, so she obviously doesn't remember that (she's four now). They are exactly two and four years older than DD. We've also had a boy who is seven years older than DD. She really likes it when older kids are here. She thinks they are really cool.
