Re: Reagan Elizabeth is here!

I see a tub in the background in one of the pics, I did a water labor although delivered my babies out of tub and I also noticed no tears both times. I'm thinking that soaking in water might help with the elasticity and what not but so far its just my own observation. CONGRATULATIONS!

I think you are right! I had an episitomy with my first and then my vbac (3rd baby) I ended up with 3, 2nd degree tears that all needed stitches. This time, even though she is just as big as my 3rd (same measurements and everything) no tearing or anything. My recovery has been the best yet, by far, compared to all my other babies. I think being in my own home environment and really getting rest in my own bed with my own things and no nurses all up in my business every hour is HUGE!

I agree with this! First baby with epidural I had an episiotomy and tore really badly. This baby was a waterbirth, and even though I had previous tears (making tearing again more likely) and DS had a huge head and body, I only had a first degree tear! I was not expecting that, but it is awesome.
