Wash BG 4.0 dark colors separately?
Just got some
in! I took advantage of the BG 4.0 b5g1 sale at cottonbabies and combined it with the free BG 4.0 for orders over $75. Quick question though (it's probably been addressed before). A sticker on the BGs says to wash the darks separately so colors won't run. Did you actually wash them separately? Seems like a huge hassle and I'm hoping it's just the company covering their own butts just in case. Has anyone actually had colors run onto other diapers? Thanks all!!

I'd wash them separately, they do bleed sometimes. I think it's the tabs that bleed, not the PUL, but yes - wash separately.

Re: Wash BG 4.0 dark colors separately?
I didn't with my stash of 18 that I got in a week ago...sounds a major pain 2 me! I had no problems with bleeding doing the typical cold/hot/rinse/rinse.

Never washed them separately and never had issues.

I use shout color catcher sheets. I haven't separated laundry in years!

No one had problems with them bleeding? I washed 3 new BGs and had an entire load of pink diapers afterward!
They did stop bleeding after a couple washes, but I'll never wash them with lighter colors the first few times again.

Re: Wash BG 4.0 dark colors separately?
I think it is dazzle that does the bleeding. It is the only one I have had an issue with. For me with all really bright or dark diapers I hand wash a few times first because they do dye everything pink. For the record it has only been the dazzle with bg I've had a problem with but judging from the number of bgs for sale on here that are pink on the tabs and the person also has dazzle that is the main issue.

I used Shout Color Catchers with my first load and still had the Dazzle bleed onto the tabs. I washed my second order seperately and had no issues with bleeding at all

I'd wash with towels rather than diaper laundry for the first few times, just to be safe.

Yes, wash separately for the first few times. I had some bleeding from the moonbeam. After 2-3 washes they were fine...but the laundry tabs are still a little blue even a year later.
