Diaper Swappers

Dd is four, 40" and 35 pounds. She currently is forward facing in a Radian XT. She is complaining that her butt hurts in the seat? She has no padding on her bottom, she's seriously just hip bones, lol. My dh is built the same and thinks her seat isn't comfy enough. Anyone have a suggestion for a seat that would be more comfortable?

We have a Nautilus that we usually use for our foster kids (no placements right now) and I've tried her in it and she doesn't complain, but she won't use it full time b/c it's not pink. I'm trying to decide if I should just buy her a pink cover for her seat or if I should get her a different seat? Or if there is some option I haven't thought of? Does the padding in the seat get too compressed over time? Is it replaceable? She's been using the seat around 2.5 years if my math is right.

I need to buy a seat/same size kid too and was wondering the same thing. I haven't kept up with the new ones and was tempted to get Nautilus or Evenflo.

I would think the crotch strap in the nauti might soon cause her some discomfort. Dd is the same size and the crotch strap has to be retrieved from under her bottom every time she sits in it which is a major pitb. Dd hasn't complained about it yet but I'm surprised because it doesn't look comfy.

If it was me I might see if she feels more comfortable in the nauti and tell her to suck it up about the color.! Lol I'm a mean mom. But if you do get her a new one there is a super cute pink and purple flowered print at walmart.com!

The pink/girly thing is totally foreign territory to me, I was never like this! But she's strong willed and I like her that way, so pink/flowers seat it will be, whatever seat she rides in.

Oh I am remembering that the crotch buckle was annoying the last time we used the seat full time. Hmmm, I'll have to look at dd in the seat a few more times.

Is there anywhere near you that you can try seats? If you end up buying a new seat, maybe have her try out the Frontier and ProSport? Both have pink options

I think the frontier has a way plushier (is that a real word?? ) seat than the nautilus. We have both and a radian xtsl.

On second thought, where do you live? Would you like to just come and test out my seats?

I think the ProSport and the Frontier are very cushy. I just got a Frontier for my 4 yr old with the same stats because it was so roomy. She has a TrueFit now and it's very plush.

I do have a local store I can try the Frontier, not sure if they have a Prosport, I need to go pick up something there tomorrow. I'll have to have her sit in them.

We have the hot pink Frontier (Livia) and it is pretty cushy! DD has never complained. I tried her in that and the ProSport (which looks comfier to me) and she picked the Frontier.
