I have 10 OS BG 2.0 dipes. I have used my green one twice ever and it STINKS! Not the insert, the dipe itself. Never pooped in, but she DID wear it to bed one night. I think this is the diaper that caused my WAHMies pail liner to stink so badly.

How does that happen after only 2 uses??

Also, if you have only one stinky dipe, how do you go about ridding the smell?

Have you tried stripping it?

I would wash it in Dawn on HOT and then rinse repeatedly until there were no more suds...then sit it outside in the sun for a day.

haha I don't know. I've had one stinky dipe, it took a few washes to get it out. I'd strip it by hand in the sink, soak in borax and then re-strip the borax out, that s hould take care of it. Doing this by hand mind you. Make sure you rinse rinse rinse to get the borax out.. then put it through a regular wash (after the prerinse) and then hang it outside. I might be tempted to boil it too!

And if that doesn't work,.. fire.

LOL...I did strip it, no luck.

I will try the other route.

did overnight pee cause this?

I think it was the first time she ever slept in a pocket dipe, so that might be why?

Updating!!!

I did a wash on Saturday. Cold soak for ALL dipes except for the stinky one and my BBH bamboo that was stinky too. When the soak was over, I threw the 2 dipes in for the hot wash with 1.5 scoops of OxyClean Versatile. Did 3 cold rinses after (including the one that comes with the hot wash).

STINK GONE!!!!!
