Bleaching inserts?

Can you bleach inserts? I just got 2 flip covers with stay dry inserts (all used), and was wondering if I can bleach them, or at least the inserts, when I wash the first time (and maybe every now and then as I use them)? Those are the only ones I have right now, but for future reference, can you bleach any kind of insert? I'm thinking about getting some of the organics to try, if I like the way the flips fit. Can you also just put prefolds into these covers in place of inserts? Thanks!

I now use bleach when needed. Was scared to at first but it really gets the smell out and disinfects. Use like a 1/4

Re: Bleaching inserts?

You can use bleach on anything and everything, not just inserts.

But if you wanted to add a bit more bleach and give them a really good clean could you soak or wash with more bleach if it's just the inserts. I use Clorox fabric guard

I would (and do occasionally) use about 1/4 C in the wash. It won't hurt your colors do long as your washer is full/it mixes the bleach with the water. I would never, ever soak in bleach personally...
