It occured to me...

As I was hanging this morning's load of diaper laundry out on the clothsline, I picked up the cloth wipes out of the basket and turned to hang them. Then I thought to myself...why am I drying these? They go from the line into the wipey tub, and I then fill that with water. So, why am I drying them, only to wet them again. Duh!

I dry them in between because I've had wipes get tiny dark mold spots before. I don't want to go there again!

Just another step to help kill any lingering bacteria That's why I dry them in the dryer or in the sun.

I use GSE and/or Tea Tree EO with witch hazel in my wipe solution, so I don't worry too much about lingering bacteria, etc. I do actually dry them every few uses though in the dryer though, as I alternate what wipes I'm using. (Gotta have some wipe variety too ).

I wasn't worried about bacteria as I always use TTO in my wipes solution, but still ended up with a bit of mold if they weren't dried periodically so I just stick with drying them every time now.
