Baby should be on mom for skin to skin, help with temp, etc. Just laying there by themselves seem rather sad. Even if you do the breast crawl you normally keep your hand by the bum or back so they don't fall off of you, and they are normally on top of you, not crawling in from another room.

I have never heard of such a thing. It just doesn't make any sense. Why would you just leave them sitting there? I want to hug and cuddle mine asap!
