clara is 20 months and we are actively weaning. she.nurses for naps every other day. my boobs arent tender or anything. im sad to be winding this up, but def need a break for baby comes

I need to wean my LO, but have no clue how I'm going to do that and remain sane! She loves nursing! Tips?

well, we started with just morning, nap and night, the cut out morning. then dh started taking her at night for bedtime. now its just naptime if we are home. but today she jyst climbed in my lap and snuggled to sleep. dont know if i should be happy or sad

I haven't posted a formal intro yet, but I am due April 5th. :-) I am still nursing my 3 yr old. I had planned on letting her self wean. But now that I'm pregnant, we will see how it goes. I tandem nursed with my 2nd and 3rd kids, but my 2nd was y ounger at the time, barely 2 years, but I tandem nursed until she was 3.5 and the baby was 18 mo and then I weaned her.

I am nursing my son (almost 2) as we speak. Hehe... He only nurses naptime, to sleep and first thing in the morning. I am just going let this whole thing play out and see how it goes. For now, I can't imagine that he'll stop & I'll probably end up tandeming when the new LO comes.

If you can make it through the painful time of soreness and dry nursing...tandem nursing is wonderful and very special! And, my 2 yr old plumped up considerably getting all that high fat newborn milk!LOL

Awesome!! I'm pretty good with pain generally (ESP if there is an end in sight!) so tandem is what I'm visualizing will happen. I'm hoping that it will ease the jealousy too.

I'm worried about the jealousy with my LO also. She doesn't even like if I hug dh! I really don't want to tandem simply because I see myself getting overstimulated and feeling claustrophobic... It'ssomething I deal with already, especially when DD2 is sleeping in our bed, along with dh and the cat. It feels like I'm stuck! LOL

I'm still nursing my 20 month old daughter. She's still pretty attached to her boobs lol. I'm not going to force wean her, she'll decide when she's done. And I have to say I'm happy to see other Moms with older nurslings!

Tobin is still nursing (@ 29 months)..I don't think he will wean before baby comes..
