I did oil for 6 hours and there was still some alive!!! So now I reapplied the oil and I will leave it on over night. I had not washed out the oil from before so it is still there. Crossing fingers this really works because I don't want to spend the money on the chemical stuff that I know doesn't work.

ETA and my hair is to the middle of my back and brown black!!! This suuuuuuckssssss.

That does suck! I was super lucky (if you can call it that) when we delt with it. DSD was 4 at the time & had well still has white blonde hair. Super easy to see the bugs. Not so much the nits though. <barf> It was an ongoing thing for months. Every time I thought we had it under control anotbher child at her Head Start had it & of course we would find out after we had her for a few hrs or just as we were picking her up we were informed we had to treat her again.

Use mayo. I used that when i had lice a few years ago. I put a massive amount of mayo on my head with a plastic cap and blow dryed it on and off for a few hours. Then combed them out in the shower. It's gross i know, the mayo and the lice lol but they are easy to get rid of without chemicals if you're careful before they get bad.

I'll have to try that next! I really really hate this!!!! But I am sooooooo glad it was just me that got it and no one else.
