I haven't managed to really capture a good smile on camera yet. Hoping I get lucky one of these days. Evanee has a fussy time in the evenings. Sometimes I give her gripe water but holding her and swaying/patting seems to work better. I only got the gripe water b/c I thought she might be gassy.

That's surprising he still has it. Evanee's smelled bad right b/f it fell off. Made me wonder if it was infected it smelled so bad but it was fine. She had the discharge too.
I've been taking 2 stool softeners a day (the label says to take 1-3) and I think the hemorrhoids are finally getting a little better.

And his cord stump finally fell off yesterday, so he got his first real bath today!!

Yay for a bath! I was so ready for Evanee's to fall off for that reason. And this week the hemorrhoids are better so glad for that!

Holy cow! No pun intended, that's awesome! I've been getting an extra 8oz a day from pumping so hopefully I can keep building up.

Re: How is it going?

I was breastfeeding while in the hospital but Olivia has an overactive suck and I was left with scabbed nipples and I was crying every time I fed her from the pain....so the LC at the hospital had suggested pumping for awhile until they healed but I'm going back to work anyway and decided to just stick with pumping. She had a few ounces of formula the first few days but hasn't had a drop since the day we came home from the hospital.

I can only imagine how painful that must have been!

Re: How is it going?

Going pretty well here. Feels like I don't get much done around here, though.

I am in awe of some of your milk supplies. I wish I could pump that much. I think I have like 8-10 oz. frozen. I had a little more that got used when I had surgery a week and a half ago.

Benjamin is 2 months and 5 days. He's grown a lot. Don't know exactly what he weighs, as he hasn't been to the dr. for 3 weeks. He weighed right around 10 lbs then, and he's really chunked out since then.

We thought we were moving to Georgia for a church position, but it fell through. We were pretty devastated to be honest. But overall realize it was a good thing we didn't move there first. It's really affected my mood, but I'm just trying to put one foot in front of the other and go on with life. Just don't really know what's next.

Ben is tongue tied, and at first it didn't seem to be much of an issue. He did start showing some symptoms of reflux, which we put him on meds for. And lately, he makes a clicking noise when nursing. My best friend thinks I should ask to have it clipped. We wonder if his discomfort is because he is taking in a lot of air, due to the the tongue thing, and if maybe he would be a more efficient nurser if it was clipped. So we'll see.
