Re: Kid-friendly snacks and lunches
Fruit like apple slices, cut up grapes or mandarin oranges. Cheese cubes, crackers with peanut butter. Maybe find out what kind of sandwiches he likes and cut them into fun shapes.

Re: Kid-friendly snacks and lunches
A lot of it is how it is presented to- make it fun! celery with PB and raisins on top- called "ants on a log". So much more fun that way! Also, sprinkles make everything fun, even if it is just a few!
My daycare serves unfrosted animal crackers- kids like playing with those and dunking them in milk. She also serves Graham crax w/ frosting 'sandwiches'. I don't remember everything else- those are the ones I get jealous of :-) Or like PP, jello molds, or use a cookie cutter to cut shapes of cheese squares, jello, or just about anything... Or maybe if you have story time, could you find a snack that correlates with the story/DVD....ect. Get the other kids excited about it so the picky ones catch the excitement too.

Re: Kid-friendly snacks and lunches
Hadley, I'm not much help because my kids are easy eaters, but I will say fruit and yogurt and easy snacks that egt most kids to eat the fruit even if they dont generally like it. My boys love to dip veggies in ranch and we also make smoothies with any fruit a little greek yogurt and a splash of milk if it is too thick.
We roll lunch meat with cheese without the bread or we make "pinwheels" tortilla, cream cheese, lunchmeat, and sometimes cheese. Another suggestion is to check out pintrest and look for bento box meals. They always look fun and are generally healthy.

Re: Kid-friendly snacks and lunches
Thanks, Tina! I'm going to wing it tomorrow. I've stocked up on all kinds of fruits, veggies, crackers, chicken nuggets, etc. Surely they will eat something. It seems to me that kids are usually less picky for other people than for their mamas anyway. We'll see what I can talk them into!
My kiddos are pretty easy to feed also, so that's why I was wondering if anyone had suggestions of things I hadn't thought of. Thanks!!
