Rant!

I will be 40 weeks in less than 24 hours. This evening, DH told me, "I don't like the boy name we have picked out," then went to bed. F***! I am so upset right now. Really?! That's the most effort he can put into this. GRR! GRR! GRR!

Re: Rant!

Wait until after baby is born then give a suggestion for a name you love. I did this with my husband(not thinking at the time). He would never have gone for the name before hand but now he says it is perfect for our son.

Re: Rant!

We are having name troubles too. Last night we were up till midnight trying to find a middle name if this is a boy. I told him what I like for a girl and he grumbled at it. He insists that baby has to be named with a "t" first name so I am very limited with 1st names. We came to the agreement that if baby is born at home he gets a "t" first name as his entire family has. So I want to pick the middle name. He hates Jade or Sage as a middle name for a girl and I love both. As for a boy I like Hadden but he doesn't.

My dh hated every name I came up with for my ds....untill he was born and then he agreed that mine was perfectly for him.
This time he is very opinionated like the first yet can not come up with any suggestions of his own. I told him until he can start making an effort to find a name he is not allowed to shoot any down.

Re: Rant!

I agreee that after the birth, Dads are more likely to let mom win this argument! It was that way last time for us. I dropped the subject by 8 months, then after birth, he totally let go of the ugly boy name he wanted and just made completely new suggestions.

Also, with ds#1 I had a book of names. We each went through and marked the names we liked. ONLY 2 NAMES could we agree on- Isaac and Isaiah. They were not my first choices, but it was better than fighting!

Re: Rant!

I would be ticked off about this, too, mama!

I like gsefthuko's suggestion:
