Re: Just so disappointed...how do you deal when something doesn't work out?

It is tough. DH was told severeal times that he'd be working in the UKfor an extended period. Once for 12-18 months, once for 6-8 weeks. We even got so far as to get passports for us all. Never worked out. We were pretty disappointed, but we realized that it was an opportunity too for him to be sent where he was. By taking the job that they sent him to, he was able to impress them more, so we're hoping that in the future things will work out better for us. The gig in UK would have looked good on his resume, but ultimately where he is now is better for his career path.

I would be bummed too, because I would love a long-term stay in Ireland myself. I lived there for a year as a kid and it was amazing!

However, Buffalo really is great. I live in the area and we love it here. The food is wonderful and there are some great people here too. When you get out here, do feel free to message me and I'll point you in the direction of places to eat, where to find other Mommy friends, and even have you and the family out for dinner sometime, if you'd like. Also, we have Wegmans, which is hands down the BEST grocery store EVER. I hope you enjoy your time here. Buffalo is not Ireland or a tropical beach paradise, but it is pretty great.
