Re: 0 spend in august support group
Today was not no spend, but was things that were needed. I also bought myself a birthday gift (teething bling!
) but paid for it with store credit I had sitting, so no money OOP.

Re: 0 spend in august support group
I was doing so good today and then we went for meet-the-teacher night and the ice cream social at DS school and I ended up paying for my PTA membership and getting DS a school spirit shirt. It was budgeted for though.

2. $13 bday gift, $4 pantry items for the menu this week, $20 fund school lunch account, $5 on fresh veggies, $10 to sign DS up for a school club 3-5. $1.25 bus for DS, $11 gas in motorcycle, $28 gas in my car, $15 McD for bfast before soccer game, $10 grocery, $2 redbox movies, $4.50 on ??? 6. $1.25 bus and DH forgot to take the movies back so $2 more ![]() 7. $7 waterbottles, $7.50 grocery store, $10 target, $34 school pics, $15 lunch Ok so not doing too well. I had time to burn so I ran into the grocery for sale produce, then DH called and said he forgot his lunch and was stuck at work so I went and got costco pizza and a ceasar salad and we went and ate with him. now he has pizza and salad at work for tomorrow too. Needed waterbottles for the kids, target was overpriced but they did have a great produce sale going on. Found the 2 ss water bottles at ross for $3.50 each! pretty stoked about that. anyway although I failed I did get the best bang for my failure dollars.

Re: 0 spend in august support group
Ok, so here goes...All gas and groceries and bills are of course budgeted for. The diapers were needed b/c DS outgrew the smaller size. So far this month I've spent $60 non-budgeted apart from diapers.
1 - $0 2- $97.40- bigger diapers for DS 3- $108.13 - groceries 4- $0 5 - $0 6 - $18.90- eating out with family, $30 on amazon , $40 gas in van7- $12.00 - McD's for lunch (we were traveling), $65 on gas in truck, $203 on 6 months of car insurance. 8- Going out to lunch and shopping with mom today...so we'll see if I can keep it under $100 whole trip! ETA: Spent $96.97 total for the day!

Re: 0 spend in august support group
We had park district registration and that is never cheap! Polar express train ride (this is a special winter event), soccer, and music class for a grand total of $374. Blah! But those activities are until January. We still have swimming registration coming up. I know my kids are probably involved in too much for their ages but they love it all. ds does swimming, soccer, and gymnastics and dd does music, swimming, and gymnastics. I did find a soccer program that was only 1 day a week for ds. I was so surprised that most of the programs in my area for his age 4/5 yr old is two days a week with practice one day and a game on saturdays. At 4 years old I don't think ds needs to be playing so seriously!
OH, and forgot that I splurged and we got McD's for lunch. I used some of my bday money to pay for it but I shouldn't have ordered myself a meal. ($12) ETA: I also returned a pair of sunglasses at costco today so I changed my total. I really really need to buy a new swim suit but I have no idea where to look. We go swimming lots and I have been wearing my current suit multiple times a week for over a year. It's starting to fall apart and I'm afraid I might have a wardrobe malfunction at the pool. I can't seem to find one I like though.

So, it looks like in my area AYSO is $90 for the fall session (since I missed the June registration). The class I've already registered for is $137 (normally $107 but I had to pay the yearly registration fee of $30) and the classes go until mid January. I think that's a better price in the long term.

I'm actually happy about how we're going this month! 5/8 days so far were $0 days, and most everything we bought was budgeted for so far
